鍾南(nán)山認爲，CDC（疾病預防控制中(zhōng)心）不(bù)應該僅僅是一個(gè)單純的信息收集的技術(shù)機(jī)構，應該被賦予更大的權力。

鍾南(nán)山團隊曾經預測，“如果封城行(xíng)動再往前5天，到現在爲止，全國(guó)的病例數或許隻有2萬左右；但(dàn)是推後5天，全國(guó)到3月份後的發病峰值應該是17萬。”

他認爲，早期的科學防控舉措是極爲重要的。這些工(gōng)作應該是CDC來(lái)做、來(lái)進行(xíng)研判、預測。必要的緊急情況下(xià)，CDC應該有權力向社會發出預警。強調加強CDC建設，提升CDC地(dì)位，正是爲了(le)争取疫情防控時間窗(chuāng)。

He believes that early scientific prevention and control measures are extremely important. These tasks should be done by the CDC, judged and predicted. The CDC should have the power to issue early warnings to the society in case of a necessary emergency. The emphasis on strengthening the construction of the CDC and improving the status of the CDC is precisely to strive for the time window for epidemic prevention and control.
