Five fishermen went fishing.

One, two, three, four,five!

Down to the river they ran.

One sat on a rock.

One stood on the dock.

One climbed up a tree.

One lay in the grass.

一個(gè)人坐在了(le)石頭上。

一個(gè)人站(zhàn)在了(le)碼頭上。

一個(gè)人爬上了(le)樹(shù)。

一個(gè)人躺在了(le)草(cǎo)地(dì)上。

And one fisherman got into a boat.

“Hello, down there! ”

he called to the fish.

“We are ready to catch you!”

一個(gè)漁夫跑到了(le)船上去。

“你們好，那兒(ér)的小魚們！”

他朝魚兒(ér)們喊道(dào)。

“我(wǒ)們準備抓你們了(le)！”

At the end of the day

Each fisherman had a nice fat fish on his line.

一天的最後，

每個(gè)漁夫都(dōu)釣到了(le)一隻肥美(měi)的魚兒(ér)。

“What a fine supper we will have!”

said one fisherman.

“Now let’s go home.”

“First we must count to see

if we are all here,”said another.

“What if one of us fell into the water?”

“現在，我(wǒ)們回家吧。”

“首先我(wǒ)們需要數一數，

So he began to count.

“One, two, three,four.

I see four fishermen.

Oh, no! One of us is missing!”

所以，他開始數數。

“一，二，三，四。

“It cannot be!”said another fisherman.

“Maybe you counted wrong.”

So he began to count.

“One, two, three, four.

I see four fishermen too!

It is true. One of us has drowned!”

“不(bù)可(kě)能(néng)！”另一個(gè)漁夫說(shuō)道(dào)。

“或許，你數錯(cuò)了(le)。”

于是他開始數起來(lái)。

“一，二，三，四。

All the fishermen hugged each other.

They cried and cried.

“Our poor friend !

What will we do without him?”

Just then,

A little girl came by.

She was going fishing too.

“Why are you so sad?”

She asked them.

“There used to be five of us.

But one drowned , ”said a fisherman.

Well, right away the little girl saw his mistake.

The fisherman forgot to count himself.

“Will you give me your fish

if I find your friend?”

She asked.

“Yes! Yes!”they said.

小女孩一下(xià)子(zi)就(jiù)看出了(le)他的錯(cuò)誤。

漁夫忘記把他自(zì)己數進去了(le)。

“如果我(wǒ)找到了(le)你們的朋友(yǒu)，

“Now jump into the river one at a time,”

the little girl told them.

“And I will count you.”

“現在你們一個(gè)一個(gè)地(dì)跳進水裏面，”

小女孩告訴他們，

“我(wǒ)來(lái)幫你們數。”

The fishermen did as they were told.

Splash!

Into the river they went.

One! Two! Three! Four! Five!

于是漁夫們聽從(cóng)小女孩的話(huà)，

一個(gè)一個(gè)跳進了(le)水裏面。

噗通(tōng)一聲！

他們跳進了(le)河(hé)裏面。

一！二！三！四！五！

“Five!”the fishermen shouted.

“Our lost friend is found!

He did not drown after all!”

The fishermen gave the little girl

all their nice fat fish.

Then home they went.

“五！”

漁夫大喊道(dào)。

“我(wǒ)們丢失的朋友(yǒu)找到了(le)！

他根本沒有溺水！”

漁夫們把他們所有的肥美(měi)的魚都(dōu)給了(le)小女孩。

然後回家了(le)。

They were very wet.

They had no fish for supper.

But they were all together again!

他們都(dōu)濕透了(le)。

晚餐的魚也沒了(le)。

但(dàn)是他們又都(dōu)重新在一起了(le)！
